At present, the state hosts 217 Government Degree/PG colleges colleges, 331 Aided colleges, 25 state universities, and 48 private universities, making it one of the largest higher education networks in Uttar Pradesh
The network of 217 government degree colleges ensures that students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from rural and economically weaker sections, get access to affordable education. In addition, 331 aided colleges play a complementary role by combining private management with government support, thus ensuring better reach and variety of courses.
